Dorothy Lee

Dorothy Lorine (Ritchey) Lee, 88, passed away Thursday, August 4, 2022 at her home in Axtell, Texas. Visitation will be held 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday August 7 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Dr., Waco. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 8 at the funeral home. Burial will immediately follow at Billington Cemetery in Limestone County.

Dorothy was born September 27, 1933 to James and Lucille Ritchey. She worked as a letter carrier for 28 years going above and beyond for her customers, leaving a positive impact on all she met. She married L.M. Lee on April 10, 1952. Together they raised their four children.

Dorothy was Mammaw to 12 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, along with countless others she loved as her own. She shined greatest in her love for Christ. She provided an ongoing example for family and friends by leading a faithful Christian lifestyle.

She was proceeded in death by her husband, L.M. Lee, her son Leonard Dewayne (Buster) Lee and her grandson Isaac Lee.

She is survived by her brother Bobby Ritchey, her son David Lee, her daughter Karrie Lee and her daughter and son-in-law Marlene and Bill Tucker as well as her numerous grandchildren.

She left an immeasurable impact that will continue in the minds and hearts of those that loved her.
