Dorothy Kelinske

Dorothy Marie Kelinske, 86, of Waco, went home to be with her Lord on July 4, 2015. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 8, at Peace Lutheran Church, 9301 Panther Way, Hewitt, where Dorothy was a charter member, with Pastor Rynearson officiating. Interment will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be held 6 – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 7, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Drive, Waco.

Dorothy was born on April 15, 1929, in Falls County, TX, to the late Thomas and Aline (Hood) Ferrell. She graduated from Chilton High School in 1946 and was married on December 22, 1947 to James H. Kelinske, Sr., who preceded her in death in 2002. Also preceding her in death were two sons, Marshall and James, Jr.; and two siblings, Newton Ferrell and Bobbie Sue Hixson. Dorothy was a very giving and charitable person who trusted everyone. She loved her cats.

Dorothy is survived by her son Larry, and his wife Molly of Lorena; daughter-in-law, Sylvia, of Lexington; four grandchildren, Jason, of Houston, Kevin and wife Mariel, of Houston; and Joe and Sarah, both of Austin; her great-grandchildren, Alexis, and Katherine, along with Brooke, whose birth came just hours after Granny’s passing; and several nieces and nephews, and her extended family.
