Dorothy Heaton

Dorothy Heaton, 84 of Robinson, TX, passed away Thursday, April 29, 2021. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 6, 2021, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Drive, Waco, with Pastor David Cozart officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 5 – 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 5, at the funeral home.
Dorothy was born October 30, 1936, to Ben and Dana Sauer. She graduated from University High School where she met her sweetheart, Melvin. They married in October 1955, and in that union they had a daughter, Deborah Lynn. Dorothy loved to cook and shop and attend church. She always had plenty of food for anyone who stopped by and a pot of coffee brewing. Dorothy was a banker for many years, then retired when Melvin started Mel’s Carbonic to help him run the family business.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Melvin, brother, Roger; and great-grandson, Easton Cody King.
She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Eskew and husband Donnie; grandson Cody King and wife Joy; great-grandsons, Aiden and Brooks King; step-grandchildren, DJ, Brittney and Jeff Eskew; and step-great-grandchildren, Parker Marek and Paisley Eskew.
