Dorothy Griffin

Dorothy Ray (Hindes) Griffin, 84, of Robinson, TX, passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2022. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 22, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Drive, Waco, with Dr. Morgan Woodard officiating. Burial will follow at Robinson Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6 – 8:00 p.m., Monday, March 21, at the funeral home.
Dorothy was born July 6, 1937, in Pleasanton, TX, to Raymond and Dorothy (Ormand) Hindes. She married Jesse Clark Griffin, Jr. on August 1, 1959, and they enjoyed 52 years together before he passed away in 2011. Dorothy was a graduate of Baylor University and was a life-long fan of Baylor sports. She worked in the reserve book room at Moody Memorial Library and also taught kindergarten at Chilton ISD. Dorothy was a member of First Baptist Church of Robinson and Golinda Baptist Church where she enjoyed teaching Sunday school. She loved animals of all kinds; once her family had a pet turtle that followed Dorothy everywhere she went. More than anything, Dorothy loved her family.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. She is survived by her son, Clark Griffin, III and wife Nancy; daughter, Kelly Rudduck; grandchildren, Christopher Griffin and wife Sydney, Charissa Rudduck, Jonathan Rudduck and Jason Rudduck; four great-grandsons; brother, Billy Hindes and wife Janice; sister, Carol Hindes; along with several nieces and nephews.
