Doris Nell Eppers, passed away March 16, 2025 at the age of 92. Her last days were spent peacefully, surrounded by family, friends, and caregivers.
Known for her affinity for order and cleanliness; and stories about her childhood, in-laws, and the time period living in Robinson, Doris Nell will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
For those that knew and visited over the years, Doris Nell’s home was immaculate; clean, organized, and everything in its place. She always paid special attention to the specific placement of her life-like cat and ceramic Boxer! After relocating to the assisted living facility, she insisted on keeping a small broom and dustpan handy, which she had her son Danny use at least 3-4 days per week.
Whether you knew her as Doris, Doris Nell, Mother, or Memaw, her stories would always lead back to childhood memories of the cherished relationships with her father, mother, brother, and cousins; trips to Chicago to visit in-laws; long car rides with her husband Lyle and later her sons; and memories of friends while living in Robinson.
Doris Nell was preceded in death by her father James T. Bickly, mother Thoyce T. Bickly, brother Max E. Bickly, husband Lyle B. Eppers, son Patrick D. Eppers, and granddaughter Monica Eppers. She is survived by son Danny Eppers and wife Suzannne, son Darryl Eppers and wife Brenda, nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. And her beloved collection of Santa Clauses and Barbie Dolls.
A graveside service will be held at 11am Friday, May 2, 2025 at the Robinson Cemetery.
