Donald Wooley

Donald R. Wooley, 64, of Troy, peacefully passed away, on his birthday, Sunday, August 27, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family. Celebration of his life will be 3:00 p.m. Friday, September 1 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Dr., Waco with Pastor John Rambeau officiating. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service beginning at 2:00 p.m.

Don was born August 27, 1959 to Billy Joe Wooley and Delores Ann Murphree in McLennan County, Texas. He married Beatrice Sardaneta on August 18, 1978. Don worked for City of Waco in HVAC for 27 years until his retirement. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping or being outdoors period, also working in his shop or on his land. He loved watching his deer out on the farm! Don’s biggest joy was spending time with his grandchildren and watching them compete in all their sporting events!

He was preceded in death by his father, Billy Joe Wooley; mother, Delores Ann Wooley Rowe; and step-father, Donnie Rowe.

Don is survived by his wife, Beatrice Wooley; sons, Johnny Wooley and Justin Wooley; grandchildren, Jayme Wooley and Layne Wooley; sister, Brenda Lee Ary; brother, Billy Wayne Wooley and wife Rhonda; along with several nieces and nephews.
