Donald Tindell, of Robinson, TX, passed away on July 16, 2022 at the age of 85. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 22, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Drive, Waco, with Chaplain Monte Michael officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, July 21, at the funeral home.
Donald was born on June 21, 1937 in Leroy, TX to parents Richard and Frieda Tindell. After high school, Donald served in the United Stated Navy. Once his tour of duty was complete, he went to work in the aerospace industry working for Rocketdyne and Hercules. He later served as a much respected consultant to Raytheon as a senior engineer. During the years he worked on projects such as the Patriot Missile and AMRAAM Missile.
Donald and Carol Davis were married on July 19, 1957. They lived in Robinson for over 50 years.
He was an avid outdoorsman. He loved to hunt and fish. He also enjoyed being a member of a bowling league. He once bowled a 276 point game.
The most important thing to remember about Donald is the love he had for his wife, children, and grandchildren, and family. If anyone needed help, day or night, he would be the first to step up.
He is survived by his wife Carol Tindell, and four children, Ronald Tindell, Brenda King, Terri Howard, and Steven Tindell and wife, Julie. He had nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and one grand-dog Charlie. He is also survived by one brother Stanley Tindell and wife Ginger, numerous nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews.
Donald, Dad, Papa, you will be missed.
Pallbearers will be Brandon King, Derek King, Travis Tindell, Hunter Tindell, Fisher Tindell, John Howard and Cristian King.
