Donald Scott

Donald E. Scott Sr., 91, passed away Thursday, September 21, 2017. Graveside service will be 10 am Monday, Sept. 25, at Rosemound Cemetery, 3201 S 12th St, Waco. The family will receive visitors 5:30 – 7:30 pm Sunday, Sept. 24, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Dr., Waco.
Donald was born January 5, 1926 to Jard and Lettie Scott. He was proud to serve with General Patton in WWII in the Third Army in Germany and being able to help liberate three concentration camps. He married Clara Devers on October 3, 1951 and they enjoyed 55 years of marriage before her passing. Donald worked almost 28 years with the Waco Fire Dept. and then 10 years with the TSTC Fire Dept.
He is preceded in death by his wife Clara, parents, and siblings.
Donald is survived by his children, Donald Scott Jr. and wife Paula, Gary Scott and wife Judie, Randy Scott and wife Celeste, Denese Scott Witt, and Debbie Neal; 13 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and his special friend Francis Hilbers.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Waco Fire Fighters Honor Guard, 1016 Columbus Ave., Waco, 76702.
