Donald Rockett

Donald Ray Rockett, Sr., passed away Sunday, August 6, 2017. Graveside services will be at 10am, Thursday, August 10th at Cottonwood Cemetery, FM 2643, Falls County, TX, with Pastor Wayne Blackshear officiating. The family will receive visitors 6- 8:00pm, Wednesday August 9th at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Drive, Waco, TX.
Donald was born February 18th, 1935 in Chilton, TX. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Charlie and Dora Glenn Rockett. He served in the U.S. Navy. Donald had a passion for cars, mechanics, and music. He taught auto mechanics at Jefferson Moore, owned and operated Rockett Automotive, and was a talented mandolin and fiddle player.
Donald is survived by his wife of 24 years, Jo Ann Rockett; children, Lisa Denise Henson, Donald "Bubba" Ray Rockett, Jr., Boyce Adrian Rockett and wife Terri, and Kelly Renae Stephens and husband Ronnie; step-children, Paige Light, Charles Ewing and wife Virginia; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, and his beloved dog Riley.
Donald was dearly loved and respected by his family and friends and will be greatly missed.
