Donald Miller passed away Monday, August 31, 2015. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 3, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Drive, Waco, with Chaplain Larry Holden officiating. Burial will follow at Cego Cemetery, in Cego, TX. Visitation will be 6 – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 2, at the funeral home.
Donny was born August 27, 1956, a few minutes before his twin sister Donnell, at Providence Hospital in Waco, to Bill and Dora Mae (Hardcastle) Miller. He grew up and attended school in Waco and was a 1974 graduate of Richfield High School. He worked in the air conditioning and heating business, and for many years, in a supervisory position. Donny married Nancy Robinson on October 24, 1992.
Donny loved to hunt, fish, and ride motorcycles with his wife Nancy. He also loved spending time with family and friends, playing 42, playing guitars and singing, and cooking bar-b-que and Cajun food. He always wanted everyone to have a good time. He was a New Orleans Saints and Texas Rangers fan.
Donny was preceded in death by his mother and father, Bill and Dora Mae Miller; two sisters, Barbara O’Neal and Carolyn Miller; mother and father-in-law, Ruby Jane and Frank Ford; and brother-in-law, Jerry Niles.
Donny is survived by his beloved wife of 22 years, Nancy Miller; step-children, Jerry Mize and wife Katrina, Chris Boyett and wife Becca, Dawn Womack and husband Jarod, Michael Boyett and wife Diana, Tony Columbus and wife Sherry, and Gina Columbus; 18 step-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild. He is also survived by his brothers, Harley Miller, William Miller and wife Kathy, Billy Miller and Eddy Miller; sisters, Vivian Niles, Tomi Burgin and husband Jimmy and his twin Donnell Dixon and husband Ronnie; in-laws, Beverly and Owen Krupp, Carolyn and Randy Willbanks, Pamela and Jerry Bubolz, Leroy and Lenora Robinson, Curtis and Shelly Robinson, Genny and Orville Pirraglia, Kelly and Debbie Robinson, and Robin and Dwain Hicks; numerous nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews; and many, many friends. Donny will be missed by everyone that knew him and loved him.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Mize, Chris Boyett, Michael Boyett, Tony Columbus, Calvin Dieterick, Cody Nolan, and Randy Ragsdale.
