Dollie Nadine Kent, departed from this earth to be with her Lord on November 19, 2014, with her family at her side. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 22, 2014, at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 1601 S. Robinson Drive, Robinson, with Pastor Jim Daniels officiating. Burial will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 24,at Chapel Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors 6 – 8:00 p.m., Friday, November 21, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Drive, Waco.
Nadine was born on December 2, 1932, in Sweetwater, Tx, in a covered wagon, to Annie Mae Pomakayl and Sam Baty and had six other brothers and sisters. Nadine was not a stranger to hard work; always helping on the farm after school where she attended up until the eighth grade in Mart, Texas. She married Walter Douglas Kent, Sr. on May 31, 1951 and to them was born one son, Walter Douglas Kent, Jr. and one daughter, Deborah Kay Kent. Nadine retired from Providence Health Center in 2001 with 30 years of experience.
Nadine was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 50 years; one brother; one sister; one grandson; and one daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Ann Kent.
Nadine is survived by her son Walter Kent Jr., and daughter, Deborah Kay Schroeder. She was blessed with 10 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren, and four great-great-great-grandchildren; her brother George Baty; sisters, Pauline Hargrove, Irene Caddel and husband James, and Annie Lou Stone and husband Gene.
