Diane Hawkins Anderton, fondly known as “The Triplets Mom”, by her loved ones, passed away on March 14, 2024, in Robinson, TX.
She was born on August 14, 1942, in Waco, TX. Diane was very proud of her children, she also enjoyed the notoriety of being the mother of the first set of triplets born in Lee County Hospital in Opelika, Alabama.
Diane's journey in the workforce began as a camera associate and she eventually rose to the position of store manager at Eckerd drug/CVS. She dedicated 38 years of service before retiring to be a full time Nana to her great grandchildren. She thoroughly enjoyed her time with all the little ones. Outside of work, Nana had a deep passion for spending quality time with her grandchildren. She rarely missed any of their sporting, school or fun functions. Diane’s love of quilting was evident by all the beautiful quilts she gifted to her loved ones to cherish. Nana shared her love of crafting, science experiments, and coin collecting with all her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Irene Hawkins, brother Phillip, sister Susie and brother-in-law Jimmy Garrett, and brother-in-law Don Lewis.
Diane is survived by her sister Jackie Lewis, brother Stanley Hawkins and wife Sylvia, son Casey Anderton, daughters Laurie Sehon and husband Rory, Melanie Bowman and husband Rodney, Valerie McAninch and husband Kenny. Grandchildren Chad McAninch & wife Nicole, Cody Cleere, Chase McAninch and wife Shelly, Megan Bowman, Austin Cleere and wife Kelsey, Jake Sehon, Chad Bowman and wife Sharon, Rebecca Anderton Fryer and husband Matthew, Colt Sehon and wife Mackayla, Tate Sehon. Great-grandchildren Cash, Cate, KK, Callie, Cooper, Caleb, Autumn, Connor, Claire, Bryce, Audrey, Kennedy, Harper, Ava, Summer, Connor and Jackson. In addition to family members mentioned above Diane had multiple nieces and nephews who she loved deeply.
A "Celebration of Life" service will be held on March 21st at Pecan Grove Funeral Home located at 3124 Robinson Dr, Waco, TX 76706 starting at 2:00 PM. There will be a brief visitation after the service. Diane Hawkins Anderton will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family and her dedication to hard work. May she rest in peace.
