Devida Havranek

Devida L. Havranek, 90, of Waco, passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2015, surrounded by her family and friends. A graveside service will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 5, 2016, at Oakwood Cemetery. A visitation with family and friends will be 5 – 7:00 p.m., Monday, January 4, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Drive, Waco.

Devida was a devoted member of New Road Church of Christ. We were blessed to have such a caring and supportive mother with such a loving heart. She is survived by her son David Dyer and wife Diann; daughters Linda Johnson, Beverly Lafferty and husband Larry, Debbie Avila, and Sandra Dyer; along with several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Devida married Earl Dyer who preceded her in death on July, 14, 1985. She was also preceded in death by husband Ernest Havranek on September 21, 1994, whom she married January 1, 1988; along with her loving parents Dave and Theryn Putnam, and her brother Earl Putnam.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at St. Catherine’s, 3rd floor, Providence Hospice, and the members of New Road Church of Christ for all the prayers and visits.
