Delbert Jay Humbert

Delbert Jay Humbert, 79, of Robinson, TX, passed away in his home on October 20, 2023. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 25, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Drive, Waco. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6 – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 24, at the funeral home.
Jay was born on April 17, 1944, in San Antonio, TX, the son of Harry Christopher Humbert and Eddie Nell Humbert of Mart, Tx. Jay attended high school in Mart and shortly after joined the Air Force where he specialized in radio communications. After getting out of the Air Force Jay attended Louisiana Tech where he obtained a BA in business while working full time at Southwestern Bell/AT&T. After retiring from Southwestern Bell/AT&T Jay went to work for Texas Farm Bureau as a Lead County Support Tech for the past 25 plus years.
Jay is preceded in death by his parents and sister Gay Lee Humbert-Malone.
He is survived by his wife Sharron Ann Humbert for 28 plus years, and 5 sons, Chris Humbert and wife Karen, Alan Humbert and wife Mellodie, Jeff Tucker and wife Trish, Justin Tucker and wife Nickey, Taylor Tucker and wife Chelsea. Jay is also survived by 12 grandchildren Nicky, Jessica, Emma, Eric, Skylar, Serenity, Gavyn, Shawn, Evelyn, Tayden, Crystal, one great grandchild Brennan, and brother-in-law Dr. Paul Malone.
