Debbie Rice

Debbie Jo "BoBo" Rice, 61, of Robinson, TX, passed away September 14, 2021. A celebration of life will be held at 11:30 a.m. on her birthday, Friday, October 1, 2021, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home. A visitation will be one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:30 a.m., at the funeral home.
Debbie was born in Clifton, TX, to Joe and Anna Zuehlke Rice. She grew up and attended school in Robinson, TX and remained there for most of her life. She was an easy going and caring person who was loyal and protective of her family, even though she enjoyed picking on her brother and sisters and cutting up with her nieces and nephews. She loved flowers and animals and was an avid sports fan, especially the Texas Rangers. Later in life, she lived at the Fountainview Apartments in Robinson and was known to be the social butterfly of the complex. Debbie was a cancer fighter and was the strongest person her family knew.
Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Anna Rice; brother-in-law, Roger Cogburn; and grandniece, Kynadi Buzbee.
She is survived by her fur baby, Miss Rockett; siblings, Natalie Cogburn, Randy Rice and wife Debbie Lynne, and Dianna Churchman and husband David; special sister, Sue Cogburn; nieces and nephews, Glenn Cogburn and wife Michelle, Amanda Buzbee and husband Justin, Shayne Rice and wife Kerri, Randa Rice, Kristin Randall and husband Claude, Jessica Seymour and husband Ronie, Brittnee Rice and Larry Jewell, and Ashton Churchman; grandnieces and grandnephews, Courtney Glover, Austin and Hunter Randall, Kade, Kooper and Kamy Buzbee, Braden, Kirsten and Avery Jewell, Blayne Rice, Paxton Rice, Daniel, Andi and Ella Seymour; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
The family would like to thank West Rest Haven for the exceptional care given to Debbie.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Debbie’s name to any animal rescue shelter or Quail Creek Kennel and Training, 293 Hillside Dr, Robinson, TX 76706.
