On 9.1.2021, Deborah Maurine Chaneyworth (Mosley), went to be with the Good Lord at the ripe old age of 60 years. Debbie passed peacefully surrounded by her loved ones. She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Norman and Evelyn Mosley of Waco, TX, her grandparents, Pat and Lockie Boyd, of Waco, TX, her great-grandson, Connor Slade Grunden of Phoenix, AZ, and her beloved Brother-In-Law, Rick Woodward, of Waco, TX.
Debbie was married to the love her life, her husband, Robby Chaneyworth- he was crazy over her and her song for him was "Mama He's Crazy" by The Judds- it describes perfectly the love those two shared. Her children, Kolten Avery York, Becky and Ray Queen, Jeff and Eric Chaneyworth and their families. Her Mother-In-Law and Father-In-Law, Glenn and Billie Chaneyworth and Sister-In-Law, LaNell Woodward and brother, Jack Benner and family are grieving her loss, as well. She is leaving an unfillable hole in the lives of her niece Heather VanderWoude, and nephew Nick and Cam Woodward and their families, niece Jackie Jones and family, as well as her granddaughter Robyn Grunden and her husband Elliot. She loved all of the children as though they were her own however, three little toots snuck in there and took the checkered flag, by a long shot- Sam, Maeve (Cowgirl), and Jax- they came and unseated us all. Debbie’s loss has broken the hearts of so many friends and family, there are just too many to name. Debbie would give you the shirt off her back if you needed it, she was so open and loved so completely, no matter what or who you are.
There is a song, "You Find Out Who Your Friends Are" by Tracy Lawrence and that was Debbie- she was the friend who would drop everything and be there for whomever needed her.
Debbie worked at Robinson Primary School for many years and loved every person who blessed her life. Debbie taught and loved many children through her years of service at the school. She was an avid horsewoman who loved riding and just being at the barn. After retirement, Debbie loved being out on the boat, out-fishing her husband and son.
We will have a service at Western Heights Baptist Church at 6301 Bosque Blvd at 2:00 PM., Saturday, September 4, 2021. The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, you make a donation to rescue.org or UNICEF in order to fund the fight against COVID and/or Alzheimer’s Association in remembrance of her sweet momma.
Debbie loved life to the fullest. She believed that there was no point ending life on a quiet note, we are not supposed to show up to our death in pristine condition; we must show up with scars, stories, and spurs because we rode life until it bucked us. You must show up to death in such a way that people have no choice but to say, “good ride, cowboy, good ride.”
