Melba Dean Meinecke of Rosenthal, passed early Monday June 24th, at her home. Services will be 10 am Thursday, June 27, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home 3124 Robinson Dr. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors Wednesday from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
Dean was born in Peacock, TX on October 5, 1937 to parents Jess & Ollie Templin and raised in Brownwood. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she will be greatly missed.
Dean has been a cherished member of the Robinson Church of Christ and a valued employee of Genco Federal Credit Union for 26 years.
She is survived by her loving husband and best friend of 56 years, Don Meinecke; sons, Mitchell Meinecke and wife Margaret, Mark Meinecke and special friend Lucretia Darden, and daughter, DeeDe Meinecke Laughlin; brothers, Joe and Jerry Templin; granddaughters, Laura and Leah Laughlin; great-granddaughters, Madison, Allison, and Jozie Shaffer and Torrey Wayland; dear lifelong friend, Gaila Minton; several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Butch Giddens, Don Rowan, Garland Rowan, Robert Laughlin, Ronnie Shotwell, and Doug Roe.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Ralph Reynolds and Jake Roberts.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Scottish Rite Hospital for Children in Dean Meineckes name, it would be greatly appreciated.
