D.E. “Gene” Beeman, 88, of Waco, ended his earthly journey on February 9, 2015. A graveside service will be held at 10 am on Thursday, February 12 at Waco Memorial Park with Bro. Nolan Boyd officiating.
D.E. was born October 14, 1926 to Thomas and Jessie Beeman. He served in the United States Navy from 1944 to 1946. He married the love of his life, Jean, on September 1, 1951. D.E. was a barber for 52 years and loved to farm and fish. He was a loving brother, husband, father, papaw, great papaw and mentor to many.
D.E. was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Jessie; brothers, Aubrey, A.B., and Marvin; and sister, Hazel.
He is survived by his wife, Jean; sisters, Tommie Aklhelm and husband, Bob and Wanda Wiese; three children, Darlene Lowry and husband Gary, Randy Beeman and wife Shirley, and Cindy Ledbetter and husband Wayne; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
