David Whatley

David Ray Whatley, 81, passed away Sunday, March 14, 2021. He was born March 9, 1940 to Rayford Earl and Mammie Lee Whatley in Mount Calm, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents.

David is survived by his wife Connie Whatley; son, Darrell Whatley and wife Vivian; brother, Dannie Whatley and wife Janine; three granddaughters, Laci Chisenhall, Melinda Weathers, and Christina Weathers; along with six great-grandchildren.

David retired from Texas Highway Department (TXDOT) while he and Connie lived in Seymour, Texas. They then moved to Gatesville for several years before settling in Golinda. He loved music, fishing and fast cars. David was a Christian who read the bible daily, having a very close relationship with God. We rest assured that he is now dwelling in the house of the Lord.
