David Allen Carpenter 64, of Perry,Texas went home to be with Jesus on February 24, 2017.
David was born to Edmund Carpenter and Alice Romine on May 12, 1952 in Spencer, West Virginia.
As a young man he served in the Air Force from August 1971 to August 1975. He was stationed in Guam during the Vietnam Era. After his service to our country he took up Long-Haul Trucking until retirement.
He loved teasing, and joking with his family whom he loved dearly. His hobbies where skydiving, fishing, spending time with his grandkids “ONE AT A TIME”, and talking to his family daily on the phone especially his Momma “since he was the #1 son”.
David is survived by his wife Denice, son Josh Carpenter & wife Amanda; daughter Brandy Meador & husband Anthony; step-daughters Nikki and Cookie; his grand children Bradly Carpenter, Nathan Carpenter, Meghan Carpenter, Mikeal Free, Joshua Free, Kelsie Carpenter, Madison Free, Krystin Carpenter and Jayce Johnson; step- grandkids Dylan and Mckenzie Meador and Kelsey; one great-granddaughter Saira Carpenter; His mother Alice Mace; sisters Terry Stotts & husband Chuck, Jennifer Moore & husband Tim; brothers Mike Carpenter, Joe Carpenter & wife Ramona, and Brian Mace & wife Valerie; step-mother Carol Carpenter, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins and his beloved dog Pete.
He was proceeded in death by his father Edmund Carpenter, step-father Arnold Mace, and sister-in-law Becky Carpenter.
