Darlene Dockery, 76, of Robinson, passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2017, Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, January 21, at Rosemound Cemetery, 3201 S. 12th St, Waco, with Pastor Keith Patterson officiating.
Darlene was born in Waco on June 27, 1940, to Bill & Irene Stinson. She attended Waco High. On April 3, 1958 she married David Dockery.
As a self-taught bookkeeper, she worked at several small businesses before she and David acquired Harvey Public Records in 1984. After her retirement in 2005, unable to sit idle, she continued to work for the family business. Darlene had a faith in God that never wavered. She had a kind, giving heart and her generosity touched many people. Her passions were sewing, cooking, teaching Sunday school and her grandchildren. Darlene was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, her parents, sister Kathelene Orten and brother, Charles Stinson.
Darlene is survived by her daughter Denise Morgan and husband Kenny; sister, Carole Pederson and husband Travis; brother, Richard Stinson; grandsons Kris Morgan and wife Ravon, and Kory Morgan and wife Katie; granddaughter Kaci Blanton and husband Justin; great-grandchildren Ty, Tobin, Tanner, Kash, Kolton, and Wyatt; along with several nieces and nephews.
