Daniel Robert Espinosa, 69, of Lorena, TX died on May 9, 2015 at Providence Hospital. Daniel was born in Putnam, CT on April 28, 1946 to Robert and Norma Espinosa.
He served in the United States Marine Corp from June 1964 to June 1968. He married Linda Lee Joiner in 1967. Daniel had hopes of someday being a truck driver but instead went to technical college and became an electrician. He worked at Electric Boat on submarines as an electrician for many years. Daniel and Linda moved from Connecticut to Arizona in 1982 where Daniel always dreamed of living.
In 1998 they moved to Texas to be near family. Daniel eventually began working at McDowell Research where he stayed for many years. During his time at McDowell he met some of his closest friends. Linda passed away of cancer in 2001.
On April 23, 2002 Daniel married Debra Kay Baker in Waco, TX. Daniel enjoyed many hobbies throughout his life. He collected coins, studied genealogy and was a skilled Photographer. He especially enjoyed firearms and anything to do with them including reloading as his health permitted. Most recently Daniel enjoyed reading his Bible, watching the 700 club and Fox news. He also loved all things science fiction and would watch and re-watch his favorite series such as Star Trek Enterprise, Voyager, Stargate SG-1, and Atlantis.
Daniel is survived by his wife, Debra Kay Espinosa of Lorena, TX; His daughter Sheila Marie Grainger and her husband, Dean Grainger of Aquilla, Tx; His son Robert Russell Espinosa and his wife Wendy Espinosa of Aquilla,TX; His step-daughter Angela Nichols of Lorena, Tx; His step-daughter Kimberly Kozlovsky of Lorena, TX; Two brothers, Thomas Michael Espinosa of Wolfebore, NH and Paul Carroll Espinosa of Jewitt City,CT; His sister Maryann Donnell of Uncasville, CT; Four grandsons; Anthony Espinosa, Christopher Espinosa, Stephen Grainger and Kyle Nichols; Four granddaughters; Kellee Espinosa, Shawna Farr, Brittany Nichols and Hayden Hopkins, all of TX; Eight great grandchildren; Emma Brotherton, Melanie Farr, Lane Espinosa, Landon Espinosa, Bentley Fuentes, Sophie Farr, Laikleigh Nichols and Chloe Espinosa.

A memorial service will be held at Pecan Grove Funeral Home on May 16, at 10:00 am. After the service there will be a funeral reception at Peplow Park in Robinson, TX.
