Mrs. Cynthia Lynn Reyes unexpectedly passed away April 20th, 2017 in Waco, TX at Providence Hospital at the age of 43.
Visitation will be 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Tuesday, April 25th from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm. At Pecan Grove Funeral Home. Funeral services will be10:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 26th at Pecan Grove Funeral Home 3124 Robinson Drive, Waco with Tony Garcia officiating. The family is grateful for your condolences.
Cynthia was born on August 19th, 1973 in Selma, Alabama to Tomiko Sato and Robert Earl Sams. She graduated from Memorial High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and she married Jose Reyes in 1992.
Originally born in the U.S. she spent her childhood in Japan, and moved back to the U.S. to live with her father when she was in her teens. She previously trained as a nurse’s aid, and she worked for the Post Office, Colorite Plastic, Tractor Supply, and Coca-Cola. In 1993 and 1998, the couple welcomed their children into their home and Cynthia provided them with all of her love and admiration. Her children remember her as a kind, forgiving, caring, and proud mother who encouraged them to pursue their dreams.
Cynthia was an accomplished cook, who enjoyed seeing others eat her food even before tasting it her self. She had many dreams and hopes. She loved to travel all over the world. Previously, she experienced the wonders of New York, France and Italy. She was a generous and funny individual who loved the sound of rain, the beauty of nature, and the creation of her drawings. She was passionate about making sure she was able to provide her kids with a good future.
Cynthia is survived by her mother, Tomiko Sato; husband, Jose Reyes; son, Zenji Bobby Reyes; daughter, Dianne Lynn Reyes; and brothers, Robert Earl Sams II and Jerry Lee Sams. She is preceded in death by father, Robert Earl Sams.
