Consuelo Barron, 91, of Waco, passed away Sunday July 4, 2021 at her home. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, July 9 at First Spanish Assembly of God, 3301 Clay Ave, Waco with Rev. Frank Alvarado officiating. The family will receive visitors 6 to 7 p.m. with service from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 8 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 N Robinson Dr., Waco.
Consuelo was born on February 14, 1930 in Coahuila, Mexico, to Carmen and Pascuala Sias. She was an active member of First Spanish Assembly of God for over 48 years where she was one of the pioneers of the church and caring helper. She was a beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved hosting and cooking for large family gatherings.
Consuelo was preceded in death by her husband, Jesus Barron and her daughter Ernestina Barron.
She is survived by her children including son, Jesse Barron and wife Ruth Barron; daughter, Maria Elena Barron; daughter, Rosa Barron; son, Juan Barron; daughter, Teresa Barron; son, Joseph Barron; and grandson whom she loved as a son, Jesus Zuniga; along with 14 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
