Clifton E. Gibson 93, of Robinson passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2016. A graveside service will be 1 pm, Thursday, January 14, at Robinson Cemetery with Pastor David Cozart officiating. The family will receive visitors Wednesday, from 5-7 pm, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home 3124 Robinson Dr.
Clifton was born June 19, 1922 in Eddy Texas, to Ennis and Flornie Gibson. He proudly served his country in U.S. Army during the European Theater of WW II. He married Bonnie Gibson February 19, 1977. Clifton retired from General Tire after 35 years of dedicated service. He loved gardening, telling jokes and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Clifton was a loving husband, father and Boom-paw, who was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 38 years, Bonnie Gibson.
Clifton is survived by his children, Teri Wilson Roberts, of Robinson, Sherry Pool and husband, Jimmy, of Valley Mills and Charles E. Wilson and wife, Apala of Waco; grandchildren, Melissa Woodard, Stacy Woodard, Blake Mendoza, Stephanie Mendoza, Christopher Wilson, Craig Wilson, Michael Wilson, Lisa Odom, Charla Griffin and Dawn Wilson; great-grandchildren, Brandon, Taylor, Sydney, McKenzie, Riley, Patrick, Devyn, Andrew, Jonathan and Landry.
The family would like to give our appreciation for the dedicated and loving care provided by Dalton Traylor. Also, to the staff of Wesley Woods.
