Clifford Wade Jarvis, 84, of Waco, passed away Monday, February 8, 2021. Funeral Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, February 24 at Meadowbrook Baptist Church with Pastor Jim Daniels officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Waco Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, February 23 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 N. Robinson Dr., Waco.
Wade was born September 27, 1936 to Mack and Edna (Stone) Jarvis in High Point, North Carolina. After high school he worked for the High Point Fire Department becoming a Lieutenant. Wade then joined the Paratroopers of the 82nd Air Borne as an E-5, serving for five years, before going into reserve status for another three years. He married his high school sweetheart, Regina Dawson. In January 1966, they moved to Texas. He worked at Members Choice Credit Union for many years, until his retirement. Wade was a longtime and active member of Cornerstone Baptist Church, where he taught Sunday school and served in many capacities. He was a loving daddy and Papaw.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife of 60 years, Regina.
Wade is survived by his daughters, Pam Westerfield and husband Mark, Cindy Moorefield, Sarah Dreyer and husband Kenny; grandchildren, Josh Westerfield and wife Andrea, Ashley Christianson and husband Cody, Mandy Westerfield and Oliver Stone, Brandon Jarvis and wife Lacy, Grace Thornhill and husband Mike, Jerrod Dreyer and wife Tiffany; great-grandchildren, Gavin, Harper, Josh, Ava, Noah, Mia, Hattie, Joseph Wade, Carter, Sawyer, Damon; brothers, Bob Jarvis and wife Betty, Frank Jarvis and wife Phyllis; along with several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Dr. James Graham and the Gentle Transitions Hospice Team for their kindness and compassion during this time.
