Clara Dean (Bartels) Williams, age 89, of Waco, peacefully passed away Friday, February 2, 2024 surrounded by her family. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, February 8th at Pecan Grove Funeral Home with Chaplain Brandon Burrows officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Waco Memorial Park. There will be a visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, February 7th at the funeral home.
Clara was born November 12, 1934 to Hardy and Olga (Wiedeman) Bartels in McGregor, Texas. She married Arnold Ray Williams on July 19, 1958. She worked 25+ years in public school food services. Clara was a collector of many things, vivid Blue Bell consumer, and prankster. However, her life’s mission was to make everyone around her comfortable. She always made sure her company was well fed and had a drink in their hand.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arnold; two brothers; and four sisters.
Clara is survived by her daughters, Kim Gaertner and husband Donald, Rhonda Nafe and husband Derek, Pamela Willis and husband Glenn; grandchildren, Kourtney Robinson, Brittany and Justin Martin, Evan Nafe and Natashia, Bekah Nafe, Madison Gaertner and Billie; along with three great-grandchildren, Jake, Grey, and Ronan (Due 4/26/24).
