Christine Begin

Christine Elizabeth Begin, 77, of Bruceville, TX had a peaceful passing surrounded by her loved ones and the Holy Spirit on Saturday, January 7, 2023.

Christine was born on September 4, 1945 in Syracuse, New York to Mary E. Boynton (Mahlerwein) and Charles J. Boynton.

Christine retired as a registered nurse after over 30 years of serving others and her community in Atascadero, California. She enjoyed attending community meetings, traveling, reading, baking, and spending time with her loved ones most of all. She loved all animals, even insects, and loved sports, especially basketball. Christine was an amazing mother, wife, nurse, and friend. She was steadfast in her love and loyalty to those she loved. Those around her would describe her as kind, patient, caring, strong, quick-witted, ethical, and very loving.

Christine married her husband, David Begin, on February 1st, 1997. They were blessed to spend over 20 wonderful years together. Christine and David moved to Bruceville, Texas and made it their home in 2003. They loved spending time with their sons, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. They would attend all the sporting and band events that they could. They shared a lot of love and laughter in their years together.
Christine will be dearly missed but she is rejoicing with her loved ones in the presence of our Lord.

She is preceded in death by her husband; David Henry Begin, her father; Charles J. Boynton and her mother; Mary E. Boynton (Mahlerwein).

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law; Aaron and Rachel Slack and Kenneth and Zahirra Begin, her brother and sister-in-law; John and Alice Boynton, her niece; Bibi Boynton, her grand-children; Alexis Turkin, Kylee and Joe Castilleja Jr, and Sofia Slack, and her great-grandchildren; Kynlee Begin, Julian Begin, Ariyah Jerome, And Joe Castilleja III.
