Charles Young

Charles Ray Young Sr., was called home by Jesus, Monday Nov. 14, 2016. His services will be 1 p.m. Friday Nov. 18th, 2016 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Dr Waco Tx, with Rev. Gabe Dominguez officiating. Burial will follow at Robinson Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6-8 pm Thurs. Nov. 17th, 2016 at the funeral home.
Charles was born January 29, 1944 in Pecos, Texas to Lynn and Violet Young. He eloped with the love of his life, Suzanne Wallace on February 28, 1964. He worked retail for 35 years and owned his own pet store for several years. He was a longtime member of the Robinson Drive United Methodist Church.
He was very proud of his children, grandchildren, and Jason Farmer. After his family, his true loves were fishing, hunting, and gambling. He loved spending his summers in Rockport and his winters at the deer lease.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Stacey Janenne Young; brothers, Bobby and Donnie Young.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Suzanne; daughter, Donna Hine of Sugarland; son, Charlie Young and wife Lisa of Liberty Hill; grandchildren, Shea, Seth, and Stacey Hine, Meygen and Rayanne Young; sister, Sharon Wesley of Ranger; brothers, Kenneth Young and wife Carla of Stamford, Craig Young and wife Becky of Abilene; Brothers in-law and Sisters in-law, Scott Wallace and wife Lyuba, Margaret Staley and husband Rick, Janenne Gracey and husband Mark; as well as many nieces, nephews, and lots of friends.
Pallbearers will be his longtime friends, Gene Leuschner, William Norris, Jason Farmer, Jason Kay, Dereke Elkins, and Art Rodriguez.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Robinson Drive United Methodist Church or any charitable contribution in his memory.
