Charles William Paar, 85 of Robinson, Texas, passed away Thursday, December 24, 2020 at a Waco hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, December 30. 2020 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bellmead, Texas with Pastor Larry Krueger officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Drive, Waco, Texas.
Charles was born on March 7, 1935 in Riesel, Texas, the son of Paul and Hilda (Kunkel) Paar. He was baptized on May 12, 1935 at Trinity Riesel Church and confirmed on March 21, 1948 at Trinity Riesel Church. He graduated from Riesel High School in 1952. He married Ellen Ruth Meyer on August 1, 1953. He worked as a computer programmer for William Cameron, SMI, Rainbow International, and retired from K D Manitou in 2009. He loved spending time doing jigsaw puzzles, painting pictures, and camping. He also spent many hours out in his shed making furniture and frames and wood projects for family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Edward Lee Paar, sister-in-law Dorothy Paar, son Dennis Paar, and daughter Debbie Galler.
Charles is survived by his wife Ellen Paar, brother Marvin Paar, sister Darlene Huddleston and husband Norman, daughter Laurie Linder and husband Mike, daughter Sandy Cone, Mike Cone, daughter-in-law Dalores Paar, son-in-law Michael Galler; grandchildren April Bruton and husband Derek, Dustin Linder and wife Brooke, Amber Fritz and husband Logan, Dalton Cone, Madison Cone, Paiten Rand, Clarissa Paar, Ronnie Pender, Douglas Galler and wife Hannah, and Kevin Galler; great grandchildren Austin, Evie and Virginia Bruton, Ethan, Grayden, Gracie, Emory, and Isabella Linder, Joseph Ross, Maddox and Baby Boy Fritz, Fiona and Reid Galler; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.
Pall bearers are Douglas Galler, Kevin Galler, Dalton Cone, Dustin Linder, Derek Bruton, and Logan Fritz.
Honorary Pall bearer is Ronnie Pender.
