Carolyn Waits

Carolyn Waits, 85, of Robinson, passed away at a local nursing facility, Saturday, June 7, 2014. Services will be 10 am, Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at First Baptist Church Robinson, with Pastor Michael Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Robinson Cemetery. The family will receive visitors, Monday, June 9, from 6 to 8 pm at Pecan Grove Funeral Home 3124 Robinson Dr.
Carolyn was born June 10, 1928, in McLennan County to Edward and Ruth Isselhardt. She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church Robinson and enjoyed spending fellowship time, with friends and church family there. Her passion was being a substitute teacher, for the special needs students in the Waco area. Her hobbies were, quilting, sewing and her specialty was baking cakes for friends, family and special events.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Leonard Waits.
She is survived by her daughter, Diane Waits; sister, Vivian Dolezel; niece Barbara Taylor; nephew, Mike Doelzel; her near and dear friend of 60 years, Billie Cotharn; many friends and family.
The family would like to thank, St. Catherine’s and Providence Hospice Staff for their excellent care.
