Carolyn Janette Hoffman, 76, of Waco passed away Friday, May 21, 2021. Memorial service will be 10 a.m. Friday, May 28 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 N Robinson Dr., Waco, with Rev. William Wright officiating.
Carolyn was born December 10, 1944 to William Robert and Bertie Jane (Simms) Webb in Groesbeck, Texas. She grew up in Waco, attending schools in WISD, including University High. She married Jerry Don Hoffman November 10, 1963 at Oakwood Baptist Church where they attended as children. Together they raised two children, Donnie and Janetta, and as a family they enjoyed motorcycle racing, water skiing, dirt track racing and family cookouts. Carolyn also enjoyed camping on the weekends, writing poems, and drawing. She loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren, she was their biggest cheerleader. In the latter years, she spent time working in the yard, tending to her flowers, watching the birds, and keeping up with Baylor Lady Bear Basketball with her sister Robin.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Jimmie Webb.
Carolyn is survived by her husband of nearly 58 years, Jerry Don; son, Donnie Hoffman; daughter, Janetta Fabianke and husband Mike; grandchildren, Trista Fabianke, Tamara Cawthorn and husband Cory, Caleb Hoffman; great-grandchildren, Michael Lathern, Travis Lathern, Trynen Cawthorn, Canton Cawthorn, Koy Cawthorn, McKinzi Rusnak; sisters, Robin Taylor and husband Jim, Barbara Lowe; several nieces and nephews; and her faithful fury companion, Sara.
