Carolyn Brady

Carolyn Sue Brady, 69, of Waco went home to be with the Lord on March 12, 2014. Services will be held at Pecan Grove Funeral Home located at 3124 Robinson Drive Waco, Texas 76706, 10:30am on Saturday March 15, 2014. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. The family will be receiving visitors Friday March 14, 2014 6:00pm-8:00pm at the funeral home.
Carolyn was born December 3, 1944 in Waco, Texas where she attended Waco High School and met the love of her life, Stephen Joe Brady Sr. They married October 27, 1960 and raised three beautiful children in a Christian home.
She lived all of her life in Waco Texas. She spent most of her free time, being with her children and nine grandchildren. She enjoyed spending her spare time cooking, knitting, and reading and passing on her craft to her children and grandchildren. She was the Associate Matron of Lorena 1124 Order of the Eastern Star.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Joe Brady Sr. and her parents, Alexander John McKechnie and Thelma Davis McKechnie.
She is survived by her children, daughter, Carol Denise Childs and husband Alvin Childs, daughter Robin Brady Smith and husband Michael Smith, son, Stephen Joe Brady, Jr. and wife Veronica Brady, grandchildren Whitney Childs, Brady Childs, Gage Childs, Erica Brady, Davis Brady, Drew Brady, Annah Brady, Avery Brady and Micah Brady.
In lieu of flowers the family encourages memorials to the Lorena 1124 Order of the Eastern Star.
