Caroline Nelson, 68, of Waco, passed away Saturday, November 7, 2020. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, November 14 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 N. Robinson Dr., with Pastor Gary Washington officiating. The family will receive visitors 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, November 13 at the funeral home.
Caroline Ann Donahue Nelson was born in Waco, Texas, on August 3, 1952. She was the last of 3 daughters born to Charles and Zalee Donahue. After graduating from Carver High School (Waco, Texas) she embarked upon a very successful career in television as a traffic manager for KWKT Fox 44 here in Waco, Texas for more than 20 years.
Caroline was the darling wife of Issac Nelson, her husband of 28 years. From this blended family of seven was Keric (Yazmin) Donahue, Tayoki (James) Johnson, Cleo (Victoria) Kirkland, Shirley Diane Nelson and Usher France. Caroline was the loving sister to the late Charlesetta (Charli) Donahue King and Mary L. Terry. She was also a very loving grandmother to 10 loving and wonderful grandkids. She was also an attentive aunt to her niece and nephews. Melvin and Marilyn Campbell are siblings from their father. She was both loved and treasured by all who knew her.
Caroline was a loved and cherished member of St. Stephens Baptist Church located here in Waco, Texas were she was a member of the choir and held a variety of offices.
Caroline had a life worth living and lived it to the fullest.
