Carol Jean Latham passed away Friday, March 11, 2022 in Waco at the age of 74. A viewing will be held on Saturday, March 19, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at Pecan Grove Funeral Home with family present until 2:00 pm.
Carol was the second of four daughters born to Herbert and Christine Hoelscher of Westphalia, Texas. Carol earned an associate degree from McLennan Community College and went on to work at L. L. Sams & Sons, Amicable Life Insurance Company (ALICO), and retired from a career with the US Postal Service as a mail carrier in Hewitt and Oglesby. She was a loving wife and mother with an incredible talent for cooking, gardening, and home improvement.
Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Richard, whom she met and married in Waco with a dance or two at the Melody Ranch, and by her sister, Elaine Smith.
She is survived by her sons, Richard and Christopher, and her sisters, Marilyn Pickwell and Bernice Schaffer.
