Carol Holbrook

Carol “Carrie” N. Holbrook, 69, of Waco, TX, passed away Saturday, February 10, 2024. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 16, at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5 – 7:00 p.m., Thursday, February 15, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, in Waco, TX.
Carrie was born January 5, 1955, in Waco, TX, to Gus and Gloria (Arechiga) Vasquez. She served in the US Navy for four years. She married Wesley David Holbrook on July 15, 1978. She worked as a teacher’s aide for over 36 years, retiring from Waco ISD in 2022. Carrie enjoyed listening to music and going to concerts. She was an avid reader and loved watching British TV shows. More than anything, Carrie loved being with her family. She took her granddaughters to the parks and the Waco Zoo often. She was always there for those she loved.
Carrie was preceded in death by her parents, Gus and Gloria Vasquez.
She is survived by her husband, David Holbrook; sons, Seth Holbrook and Micah Holbrook; granddaughters, Chrissie Fedro and Addison Fedro; sister, Rosemary Warlick and husband Randall; brother, Richard Vasquez; nephews, Troy Warlick and Pete Vasquez; and sister-in-law, Angela Fry and husband Wayne.
