Carl “Pa” Bennett, 71, of Chalk Bluff, peacefully passed away with his family by his side on Thursday, February 24, 2022.
Carl was born in Waco, TX, on March 2, 1950, to Charles and Mildred Bennett. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed cooking his famous BBQ chicken. You could always find him on the baseball or softball field watching his grandchildren play ball.
Carl was preceded in death by his father, Charles Bennett; mother, Mildred Bennett; and wife Sherry Bennett.
He is survived by his siblings, Charlotte Fairfax and husband Frank, Charles Bennett, Ruth Bennett, and Ricky Bennett; children, Carla Hudson and husband Clay; Carl Bennett and wife Trista, Jennie Bennett and Teresa Shannon; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews along with many close friends.
Visitation will be Tuesday, March 1, from 6 – 8:00 p.m., at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Drive, Waco. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 2, at the funeral home with Pastor Darrel Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at Rosemound Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Dustin Bennett, Tyler Bennett, Tanner Bennett, Clay Hudson, Chris Red Elk, and Devon Olivares. Honorary pallbearers will be Diego Padron, Randy Baty, Chase Hurst, and Brandon Red Elk.
