Carl “Corky” Abbott, 61, of Waco passed away, Saturday, October 3, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 10am Wednesday October 7th at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Dr., Waco. The family will receive visitors from 6-8pm on Tuesday October 6th at the Funeral Home.
Corky was born on June 15, 1954 to Alvin and Cloketa Abbott in Ada, Oklahoma. His favorite hobbies included fishing with his friends, attending gold shows, and panning for gold with his brother, Ross.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jerry L. Guffey, Sr.
Corky is survived by his sister, Cloetta Hayes of Ada, Oklahoma; brother, Ross Abbott of Houston; sister-in-law, Carmen Guffey of Waco; niece, Elizabeth Guffey Shumate; nephews, Jerry Guffey, Jr., John Albert Guffey, Jay Guffey, James Tims, Gregory Hayes, Matthew Hayes; seven great nieces; and one great-great niece.
