Carl Jerry “Butch” Ender, 72 of Golinda, peacefully passed away, Sunday, June 8, 2014, surrounded by his loving wife and family. Services will be 10 am, Thursday, June 12, 2014, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home 3124 Robinson Dr., with Sidney Butch Prewitt officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in West. The family will receive visitors, Wednesday, from 6-8 pm, June 11, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home.
Butch was born January 19, 1942, in Tours, TX, to Ervin and Frances Pavlicek Ender. He grew up in Chilton, TX. For many years he was a produce farmer and worked at the area gins. Later in life, up until his death he was a farmer and rancher. Butch never met a stranger and was blessed with many friends. On June 11, 1966 he married his best friend, Betty Dolezal in West, TX. Afterwards making their home in Golinda, where they raised three wonderful children.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters and a brother.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Betty; son, Douglas, of Golinda; daughters, Michelle of Lorena and Janice and husband, Jack, of Robinson; grandchildren, Ashely and fiancé, Michael, Joe, and Amanda; great-granddaughter, Allie Elizabeth, who he loved so dearly and was very proud of; sisters, Shirley McClinton and Frances Evans; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Memorials may be made in his name, to Providence Hospice.
