Bryan Beauchamp, 92, passed away Saturday, July 9, 2022. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 18 at Cottonwood Baptist Church, 886 FM 2643, Lorena, with Doctor Buddy Sipe officiating. A visitation with family will be one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 a.m., at the church. The family will have a private graveside.
Bryan was born February 20, 1930, in Durango, TX, to Jack and Essie Beauchamp. As a young man, he moved to California, where he met and married Opal Crutchfield when she was 16. People often would ask Bryan why he married her when she was so young. His answer was always the same, “I would have married Opal sooner if I could have just to be with her longer.”
Soon after he joined the US Airforce where he trained to do electrical work on airplanes. After serving in the military, he continued his electrical work on missiles for McDonnell Douglas at Vandenberg AFB. In the 1970’s, Bryan and his family moved back to Texas and he ran the asphalt plant for Young Brothers Construction.
Bryan was a wonderful and loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He loved sharing stories about his family to others. He was hard working and in his spare time enjoyed cars, motorcycles and dancing. He loved Jesus Christ. Bryan was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Opal Beauchamp; his parents, Jack and Essie Beauchamp; son, Bennie Paul Beauchamp; sisters, Dessie Reeves and Mattie Matheny and brothers, Chuck, Ruble, Johnny, and Don Beauchamp.
He is survived by his daughter, Randi Crouser and husband Chuck; brother, Glen Dale Beauchamp; grandchildren, Suzanne Dehart and husband Mike; Julie Vila and husband, Tony; Charles Crouser; Coley Crouser and wife Cameron; and Rebekah Miller and husband Joey; along with six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Bryan loved his family and friends very much and would want each of you to know how grateful he was for your love and friendship and being here to celebrate his life.
