Bonnie Daniels-Parker

Bonnie Ruth Maxwell Daniels Parker, 85, of Robinson passed away Saturday, February 12, 2022, at Hillcrest Hospital. Graveside Service will be 10:00 am Monday, February 21, 2022, at Old Perry Cemetery in Moody with Bro. Roy W. Marshall officiating. The family will receive visitors 2:00-4:00 pm Sunday at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Drive.

Bonnie was born February 13, 1936, in Lott, Texas to W. I. and Clover (Parnell) Maxwell. Bonnie was a life-long member of FBC Hewitt, where she was baptized at the age of 12. She graduated from Midway High in 1954 where she played basketball, softball, and cheerleading. She married her high school sweetheart, Donald Daniels, December 17, 1954. They were married for 55 years and raised two daughters, Danette and Brenda. After Don passed in 2010, she married long-time family friend, Weldon Parker on December 24, 2014, and he passed in 2017.

Bonnie worked as a keypunch operator at Texas Farm Bureau, Word Inc., and M&M Mars. She retired in 2000 after being Office Manager at RDO Equipment for 10 years.

She was involved with LLL at FBC Hewitt and her “Rebekah” Sunday School Class. Bonnie was a 48-year member of the Order of Eastern Star, currently a member of Lorena Chapter #1124. She was a board member of the Old Perry Cemetery Assoc. in Moody and the Ford V8 Car Club.

She loved to be with all her family, go to church where she had wonderful life-long friends, playing Phase 10 (with her golden girls – Bettye, Janell, Sharon, and Sue), dominoes, embroidery, and the outdoors. She also loved camping at Gorman Falls and Colorado.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, and brother Larry Maxwell.

She is survived by daughters, Danette (Bob) Tollette of Sheridan, TX, and Brenda (Bryan) Light of Robinson; grandchildren, Leigh Anne (Joe) DuChene, Erica (Sam) Etheredge, Amanda (Matthew) Scott, Stephanie (Jon) Horton, Kristin (Kyle) Rendessy, Callye Light and Jake Tollette. Great-grandchildren include JP, Jude, Alexander, and Blaise DuChene; Cort Strickland, Mason and Wesley Etheredge; Hayden and Bonnie Scott; Sullivan Horton; and Kennedy Rendessy. Sister Bettye Morris, Brother Kenn (Jo) Maxwell; and In-laws, Sharon Maxwell, James and Shirley Parker and Alline Parker. Stepdaughters Janice (Larry) Rinewalt, Diane (David) Moon and families. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
