Bobbie Annie Christian, 89, of Waco, peacefully passed away Friday, December 6, 2024, at home surrounded by her family. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 10 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home with Dr. Cary Killough officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Oakwood Cemetery. There will be a visitation one hour prior to service beginning at 10 a.m.

Mrs. Christian was born December 27, 1934, to William Oscar and Eva Geneva (Faulkner) Grisham in the Ben Hur area of Falls County, Texas. She attended Waco public schools and was a graduate of Waco High School. In 1952, she married Rufus Coy Christian, and the young couple made their early home in Monroe, La. They relocated to Waco in 1957, where they became active in community, school and church events. 

Mrs. Christian enjoyed with her husband and children the love of gospel and bluegrass music, and attending music festivals with their family. She was a lifelong member of Beverly Hills Baptist Church and truly a servant of God. She attended the annual Criswell Homecoming event and was a supporter of the Criswell Cemetery Association in Falls County.

Mrs. Christian was well known for her talent in baking homemade chocolate meringue pies and cornbread dressing. She was the distinguished Matriarch of the “Mrs. C Family Club” and was dearly loved by her family and all those who knew her.

Mrs. Christian was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Rufus Coy Christian; brothers George Caddell, Sr., EJ Grisham, Oscar Leldon Grisham, and Robert “Bill” Grisham; sisters Coma Densman, Letha Gradel, and Myrtle Dunn; daughter-in-law Debra Suzanne Christian, and grandson Luke Christian.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Jeffrey Loyd of Dallas, David Coy and wife, Barbie, of China Spring, Paul Leslie and wife, Jean, of Woodway, James Randall and wife, Diane, of Woodway; and daughters, June Ann Brattain and husband, Chris, of Waco, and Janice Elaine Naumann of Waco, and sister-in-law, Dorothy Christian, of West Monroe, La.

Grandchildren include Hollie Warshak of Waco, Taylor Coy Christian of Longview, Amy Rachuig and husband, Ben, of Waco, Neil David Christian and wife, Laura, of Hewitt, Andrew Boyd Christian and wife, Holly, of Woodway, Brandon Naumann and wife, Ana, of Edinburg, Trey Simcik and wife, Whitney, of Tucson, AZ, Adam Naumann and wife, Melody, of McGregor, Whitney Christian of Magnolia, Rachel Runneberg and husband, Chris, of Conroe, Katie Radcliffe and husband, Jared, of Geneva, Switzerland, Jessica Usher and husband, Dan, of Ft. Worth, Emily Farmer and husband, Travis, of Cypress, and Candice June Brattain of Denton. 

Great grandchildren include Abby Christian, Emma Christian, Elizabeth Warschak, Hagan Rachuig, Jayden Christian, Allie Naumann, Jordan Christian, Lilah Christian, Gavin Runneberg, Cannon Christian, Charlie Coy Christian, Hannah Rachuig, Remi Naumann, Hattie Kate Christian, Olivia “Livvy” Christian, Miss Bobbie Naumann, Nissa Naumann, William Naumann, James Radcliffe, Bowen Christian, Easton Radcliffe, Georgia Farmer, Clara Usher, and Sutton Simcik. 

Pallbearers are Hollie Warschak, Taylor Christian, Neil Christian, Andrew Christian, Trey Simcik, Brandon Naumann, and Adam Naumann.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in the name of Bobbie Grisham Christian may be made to the Criswell Cemetery Association, c/o Barbara Fox, 1400 E. Navarro Ave., Mart, TX 76664.
