Bobbie was born on September 19, 1930, in Waco, TX to Bessie Jewel Burmingham and James Ervin Burmingham. After attending Waco High School, she married Tommy Lewis Cardwell on July 24, 1948. Both Tommy and Bobbie had long, successful careers with Southwestern Bell Telephone Co./AT&T.
Bobbie was a talented artist, seamstress, baker and candy maker. She had a knack for all things creative and crafty and painted beautiful landscapes and birds with acrylics. Upon retirement, Tommy and Bobbie traveled the U.S. in their RV, meeting up with family and friends across the country. They were longtime members of First Baptist Church of Robinson serving in many positions but a highlight for Bobbie was leading the college ministry group. Above all, Bobbie most enjoyed spending time with her family who she loved dearly. She made every birthday, holiday and visit as special and unique as possible. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and aunt.
Bobbie was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 66 years, Tommy L. Cardwell, her parents and her loving sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Richard Oglesbee.
Bobbie is survived by her daughter, Sandra Cardwell Tindell and husband, Kenneth Tindell, of Robinson; granddaughter, Whitney Tindell Clark and husband, Justin Clark, of Hutto, TX and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the very kind, loving and attentive staff at Living Springs Village and Bluebonnet Hospice.
