Billy Webb

November 13, 1924 — November 28, 2017

Our hearts are filled with sadness but our souls are singing praises for God taking Daddy home to be with our Lord and Savior. His requests are very simple: nothing fancy, no flowers; instead, if you feel led, make donations to your favorite charity or to the Alzheimer’s foundation. His wish was for us to be happy for him and he will be waiting for us. Graveside service will be 1pm Friday December 1, 2017 at Waco Memorial Park, 6623 S I35, Waco, with Darrell Shaw officiating.
Billy J. Webb born November 13, 1924 proudly served in WW2 from 1942 thru 1953 in the Army/ Air Force. He married the love of his life Doris Hughes in 1947. They celebrated the 70th wedding anniversary in March 2017. He was a welder for many years in Ft. Worth and Waco, Texas. He loved the Lord and graduated from Bible Baptist Seminary in the top 5 of his class. He never wanted to be a preacher but a teacher instead, and a great teacher he was. After retiring from welding, he volunteered 40 hours weekly at Providence Hospital where he was known as “Mr. Bill”. He received the distinguished honor of being the “Volunteer of the Year”.
He is survived by his wife, Doris; daughter, Billie Giles; two grandchildren, Christy Close and husband Chuck, Mike Giles and wife Starlyn; four great-grandchildren; Jake Giles, Samantha Close, Dakota and Bailey Holly.
