Billy John "BJ" Ortiz, 37, died unexpectedly on Monday, October 20, 2014. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Thursday, October 30, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6 p.m., with a rosary to follow at 7 p.m., Wednesday, October 29, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Drive, Waco, TX.
He was born on August 21, 1977 in Abilene, Texas and was a longtime resident of Waco.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gilbert Ortiz; step-father, Cesareo Gonzales; and step-sister, Sarah Gonzales.
He is survived by his wife, Selena; his three daughters, Danielle, Breana and Jordan; his mother, Josefina Garcia; one sister, Fatima Ortiz-Barco, husband Martin; two brothers, Gilbert Jr Ortiz, wife, Nancy and Joe Ortiz; and four step-brothers, Ray, Roy, Richard and Noah. He is also leaving behind numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
