Billy G. Meals, 75, of Lorena, passed away Saturday, August 1, 2015. A memorial visitation will be 6 – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 4, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Drive, Waco.
Billy was born February 19, 1940. He was raised by his grandparents, Ceba and Carro Meals. Billy graduated from Midway High School in 1958. He served in the Navy Reserve for four years. He married Sue Hudgens in December 1960. Billy worked as comptroller for R.J. Reagan for 21 years. After they closed, Billy went to the Heart of Texas Regional Police Academy in 1979, and worked for the McLennan County Sheriff’s Office for over 18 years.
Billy was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Beatrice Elizabeth Meals; his grandparents; and a brother, Charles.
Billy is survived by his son, Terry Meals and wife Gail, of Valley Mills; granddaughter, Jennifer Hromadka, and husband Raymond Joe; and a great-granddaughter, Landree Paige Hromadka.
The family would like to thank Clifton Nursing and Rehab, and Hospice Sunset in Clifton for their compassionate care of Billy.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Billy’s name to Sheriff’s Law Enforcement Association of McLennan County, P.O. Box 23475 Waco, TX 76702-3475.
