Billie L. (Spradlin) Kuehl

Billie Louise Kuehl age 93 of Riesel, TX passed away March 29, 2024 surrounded by her family. Billie was born June 5, 1930 in Lubbock, TX to George and Louise Spradlin. She married Morris Kuehl December 24, 1948 in Waco, TX. Billie loved the Lord and was a member of Trinity Lutheran in Waco for over 70 years. 

Billie was mostly a stay-at-home Mom. She worked six years for Lake Air National Bank in the bookkeeping department. After that she helped Morris with his custom home business by handling the books and drawing house plans. Billie loved keeping her hands busy. Miles and miles of thread and yarn passed thru her fingers. She made many quilts, Afghans, counted cross stitch projects, and clothes. Billie loved to read paperback mysteries, work jig saw puzzles and crossword puzzles. 

She said about her life that she has never been bored and enjoyed each phase of her 93 years. She also never lost her sense of humor. 

Billie was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Karla Sue, sister Bobbie Swank, her husband Morris of 59 years, and one grandson Troy Kunkel. She is survived by daughter Kathy Kunkel and husband Russ. Daughter Karol Kuehl. Grandson Kris Kunkel and his wife Kim and their children Dean and Paisley. Granddaughter Kristal Mathis and her husband Ricky and their two children Rylee and Kyler.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at 10am at Pecan Grove Funeral Home in Robinson, TX with the service following at 11am. Private burial will be at Riesel Cemetery.
