Billie G. Chaney, 91, of Waco passed away January 22, 2024, surrounded by the love of her family. A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 25, at Waco Memorial Park, with Reverend Matt Rosencrans officiating. No visitation is scheduled.
Billie was born March 1,1932, in Hico, Texas to Earl and Minnie Cotten. She is survived by one brother Earl Cotten Jr. and one sister Donna Coone. She also had two sisters who preceded her in death, Carolyn Johnson, and Betty Hall.
On February 11, 1950, she married her sweetheart, James D Chaney. They spent 69 years together until his death in 2019. Together they had two sons, James Michael Chaney and wife Brenda, Earl Wayne Chaney and wife Sue. She was preceded in death by a daughter Patricia Lynn Chaney. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Michal Leigh Chaney Smith and husband Matt, Adam Wayne Chaney and wife Claire, and Kaci Elizabeth Chaney Faichtinger and husband Jeff along with five great grandchildren Kailynn Nicole Smith, Jase Wayne Chaney, Addyson Brooke Faichtinger, Hunter Gage Faichtinger, and Anthony Ray Faichtinger. She was affectionately known by all as “BeBe”.
Billie spent her working days as a homemaker, wife, mom while working in the cattle business at several cattle auction sales. She retired from full time employment at the age of 80. She was a faithful member of Beverly Hills Baptist Church for many years.
