Betty Mercer

Betty Jo Mercer, age 87, of Waco, Texas passed away at home on November 3, 2023, surrounded by her family. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 10 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, with Pastor Greg Brumit officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Friday.
Betty was born on October 25, 1936, to William H. Cox and Gladys (Chapman) Cox.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Andrew A. Mercer, daughter, Connie Mercer Irwin, three brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include her daughters, Rita Weins and husband Kenny, Linda Milam and husband Ben, son, Bruce Mercer, 9 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons: Kenneth Weins, Kevin Weins, Dustin Weins, Benjamin Milam, Brad Milam, Brandon Irwin, and Drew Baker.
Betty was a loving mother and grandmother. Her greatest treasure was her family. She will be deeply missed.
