On December 8, 2021 at 3:53PM, Heaven rejoiced. Barbara Ranee Spradlin, loving daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend went home to be with the Lord at the age of 63.
Ranee was born on April 23, 1958 in Tacoma, Washington to Raymond and Barbara Spradlin. Since childhood, she had a joyful spirit and zeal for life. Whether it was blaring Elton John’s albums and dancing throughout the house or hot rodding in her favorite car, Ranee exuded joy. She graduated from Robinson High School (class of 1976) and later continued her education at TSTC, where she was an exemplary student and acquired many accreditations.
She loved the Lord with all her soul and heart, and shared the gospel of Jesus to any stranger she met. She enjoyed studying her Bible and walking with her Lord daily. If anyone had a burden on their heart, she was quick to pray with them and offer Godly advice. She was the best kind of friend that anyone could hope to have- selfless, loyal, and giving. It didn’t matter if you deserved it, she would give what she had, many times without regard to her own needs.
She was a dedicated mother, sister, daughter, and aunt. She was a favorite amongst her “kids”- always coming to their defense when they were in trouble, taking them on joyrides in her Subaru, and stealing them away for trips to the zoo or going to get ice cream. The kids loved it when Nae-Nae was coming to visit because they knew that they were going to have fun and be showered with lots of love and probably sweets. When you needed her, Ranee was there. She also showed the same attributes at her work. She was an incredibly hard worker in any job she did and was loved and respected by many colleagues. We are going to miss her funny poems, interesting stories, and “edited” birthday cards that would include her own funny drawings and words. She had a beautiful soul and a spiritual strength that cancer could never diminish.
Ranee is preceded in death by her father, Raymond Spradlin, her brother “baby boy Spradlin” and her grandson, Daniel Ziegler Jr.
She is survived by her mother, Barbara, her daughter, Rae-Lynn (Dan) Ziegler, her granddaughter, Adaline Ziegler, her siblings, Rhonda Spradlin, Randall (Melissa) Spradlin, and Ramon (Bobbie) Spradlin, her nieces and nephews, Stacy (Brandon) Paulson, Danielle (David) Heffley, Remington Harrison (Skylar), Dylan Cammack, Tyler Cammack, Austin Spradlin, Evan Spradlin, Leah Spradlin, McKenzie Spradlin, Scott Spradlin, and her great nieces and nephews, Levi Paulson, Jace Harrison, Brooklynn Paulson, Brylee Alaman, Katelynn Paulson, Tanner Heffley, Avery Spradlin, Maxwell Heffley, Cambree Spradlin, Valencia Spradlin, Cayden Cammack, Jazzyln Spradlin, Abigail Heffley and Silas Harrison.

A private celebration of life will be held for her family and friends.
